An exciting opportunity has arisen within this leading, global manufacturer of machinery into the food and pharmaceutical industries for a Key Account Manager to join its growing team.
THE ROLE
In order to succeed in the role ideally you will be based in the Hampshire/Surrey areas close to Basingstoke, Farnham, Farnborough, Guildford, Aldershot etc. Your role is to develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue and long term profitability targets. Other responsibilities include:
- Understand customer needs, challenges, and long term business goals to help influence innovation activities and ongoing continuous improvement focus.
- Analyse client data to identify trends, areas of improvement, problem machines or solutions and potential risks. Use insights to drive informed decision-making and enhance overall account management strategies.
- Monitor market and industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for account growth.
- Lead contract negotiations with key accounts, ensuring favourable terms for both parties.
- Address any disputes, escalations or challenges efficiently to maintain a positive client relationship.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, engineering and service teams to deliver an exceptional client experience. Help to facilitate seamless communication between the client and relevant internal company departments.
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience of managing high value accounts within a machine manufacturing environment or similar. Any experience of selling into the food and beverage (FMCG) or pharma industries would be a huge advantage.
