About Redshaw Advisors
Redshaw Advisors is a specialist carbon risk management and environmental markets advisory firm. We support organisations across the globe in navigating the complex world of carbon pricing, trading strategies, and regulatory obligations.
With decades of experience in EU and UK emissions trading schemes for the compliance market, the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM), and renewable energy markets, our mission is to give clients the clarity, confidence, and tools they need to turn environmental risks into strategic opportunities.
We’re entering an exciting new growth phase and are building out our commercial team to meet demand. To support this, we’re looking to hire ambitious, commercially minded sales professionals with a strong drive to win new business in environmental markets.
Purpose of the Role
This position will play a critical role in accelerating Redshaw Advisors’ growth across core markets including Compliance Carbon (EU ETS / UK ETS), Voluntary Carbon Markets, and Renewable Energy sourcing. This is a hunter role: you will be responsible for identifying high-potential prospects, opening doors, and progressing conversations from first contact through to close. You’ll bring an informed, consultative approach to clients, working closely with internal trading and advisory teams to deliver tailored solutions.
You have experience in the carbon market or a related industry such as FX, commodities, or financial services. What matters most, however, is your drive to generate new business and your ability to engage confidently in technically complex topics.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities across carbon markets (compliance and voluntary), renewables, and trading services.
- Build and manage a strong personal pipeline through outbound prospecting, network engagement, and industry visibility.
- Develop a deep understanding of client challenges related to carbon exposure, regulatory compliance, offsetting, and hedging.
- Clearly and confidently articulate Redshaw Advisors’ capabilities to senior stakeholders across energy, sustainability, finance, and trading functions.
- Collaborate with internal teams – including trading, advisory, and operations – to structure proposals and onboard new clients effectively.
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in the CRM system, contributing to data-driven commercial planning and reporting.
- Represent Redshaw Advisors at external events, roundtables, and industry conferences to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years' experience in one or more of the following:
- Carbon markets (compliance or voluntary)
- Energy trading / commodities
- Deliverable FX or financial instruments sales
- B2B sales into regulated or complex environments
- Understanding of, or interest in, EUAs, UKAs, carbon offsetting , and renewable energy procurement is ideal – though this can be developed if coming from a strong trading/FX background.
- Proven success in a new business development or consultative sales role.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to hold high-value conversations with senior decision-makers.
- Organised, proactive, and outcome-focused – you know how to build pipeline and keep it progressing.
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a clear, credible, and client-focused style.
- Fluent or high proficiency in business English is essential. Proficiency in an additional European language would be highly desirable.
- Passion for environmental markets and a desire to build expertise in a fast-evolving space.
A competitive compensation and benefits package including private health insurance is available.
