Red Seven Marketing is expanding its live events division and is seeking a Promotional Sales Assistant to represent a nationally recognised cancer charity campaign across Bristol. This role combines face-to-face engagement, structured sales development, and meaningful social impact. You’ll work at high-footfall events, retail activations, and community venues, connecting the public with campaigns that fund life-saving research and specialist support services.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Promotional Sales Assistant, you’ll represent a nationally recognised cancer charity campaign at high-footfall events, retail activations, and community venues. This is a face-to-face engagement role where your ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and empathetically directly influences campaign growth. Your responsibility is not simply to ask for support — it’s to create informed, meaningful conversations that turn awareness into long-term commitment.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Proactively approach and engage members of the public in structured conversations about cancer awareness, prevention initiatives, and the importance of sustained research funding.
  • Clearly articulate how regular monthly donations contribute to laboratory research, clinical trials, early-diagnosis programmes, specialist nursing teams, and long-term patient support services.
  • Translate complex funding information into accessible, accurate messaging so supporters understand exactly where their contribution goes.
  • Handle objections professionally, addressing questions around commitment, transparency, and impact with confidence and integrity.
  • Guide individuals step-by-step through the sign-up process, ensuring compliance, clarity, and a positive supporter experience.
  • Maintain accurate daily reporting of conversations, conversion rates, and supporter acquisition metrics.
  • Contribute to team briefings, performance discussions, and site improvements to increase campaign effectiveness.

You will be accountable for individual performance while contributing to collective campaign targets.

What We’re Looking For

This role suits individuals who are:

  • Confident communicators who enjoy face-to-face interaction.
  • Resilient and comfortable working towards measurable goals.
  • Empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and professional.
  • Motivated by both performance and purpose.
  • Interested in developing sales and leadership capability.

Experience in retail, hospitality, events, customer service, or sales is beneficial but not required. Structured training is provided. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to grow, connect, and create positive change every day. Whether you're looking to gain experience, switch career paths, or build long-term professional capability, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today to join a team that combines purpose with performance.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 7 days. Please ensure your CV includes up-to-date contact details.
