Reds10 is recruiting a client-facing Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the lead on delivering high-impact public sector projects. Based at our Central London office, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-profile, innovative construction projects that truly make a difference. Taking full commercial ownership of one or more projects, you’ll steer cost control, manage risks and opportunities, and lead a high-performing supply chain to ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to exceptional quality standards. Reporting to the Commercial Lead, this is a pivotal role where your insight and leadership will shape project outcomes, influence commercial strategy, and contribute directly to the success and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project commercial activities including cost planning, forecasting, procurement, and change management.
- Maintain and report on project-wide commercial risk/opportunity registers.
- Implement and manage cost, commercial, and supply chain strategies to achieve time, cost, quality, carbon, and social value targets.
- Ensure accurate scopes and budgets, contract documentation, and performance management of suppliers.
- Support Commercial Sector Lead in negotiation of contracts and agreements.
- Lead and develop the project commercial team to ensure successful project delivery.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a senior commercial or quantity surveying role within construction.
- Strong track record of managing multiple projects and teams.
- Experience in procurement, subcontractor management, and commercial negotiation.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and H&S requirements in construction.
- Proficiency in project cost forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Membership of, or working towards membership of a professional body (desirable).
- An analytical mind with a natural flair for solving complex commercial challenges.
- Confidence and clarity in communication – whether presenting to clients or aligning internal teams.
- Proven leadership with the ability to inspire, manage and develop high-performing teams.
