An opportunity to join the award-winning offsite construction company Reds10, as part of our Health & Safety Department. Reds10 designs and builds high-quality sustainable buildings for the public sector with a particular focus on defence, accommodation, education and justice. Our purpose is to deliver great experiences for our clients and their customers with Health & Safety at the core of our delivery.
We are seeking a highly personable, organised, and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join the Health and Safety team. Based in our London office, you will be visiting multiple live sites in London and the South of England on a weekly basis, working closely with our H&S Lead, site teams and contractors to ensure safe working environments at all stages of construction.
Responsibilities:
- Assurance of compliance in production, delivery and operational practices with relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and wellbeing (HSEW) standards, policies, procedures, processes, systems, and regulations.
- Maintaining Reds10 Health and Safety Standards, ensuring our teams are aware and enforcing their requirements.
- Identifying potential hazards and ensuring managers and leaders are aware of them and mitigating them.
- Ensuring the welfare of all staff and visitors.
- Engage and liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to share the best practices of their HSEW policies, procedures, and ways of working.
- Perform regular compliance audits on live projects.
- Liaise with external health and safety representatives and authorities, keeping up to date with Health and Safety legislation.
- Carry out risk assessments and develop Safe Systems of Work, advising managers and leaders and ensuring that they are implemented.
- Deliver toolbox talks, health and safety initiatives, and Health and Safety training where necessary.
Candidate requirements:
- A minimum of NEBOSH certificate or NEBOSH Construction certificate is essential.
- Pragmatic approach to application of HSEW regulations, policies, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to present to an audience.
- Available to travel as per the role requires, visiting our production facility.
- Proficiency in use of Autodesk technologies and MS office suite.
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working across multiple live sites.
- Capable of advising on Temporary Works management.
