Reds10, an award-winning leader in offsite construction is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team in Driffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive health and safety professional who is committed to creating a positive, behaviour-led safety culture and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and wellbeing performance across our production operations.
In this role, you will play a key part in driving continuous improvement, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting operational teams, and fostering a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Wellbeing (HSEW) legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular health and safety audits within production and manufacturing areas, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop, review and implement risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work for manufacturing operations.
- Deliver engaging health, safety and wellbeing training programmes across the business.
- Monitor, analyse and report HSEW performance metrics and KPIs to management teams.
- Support managers and operational leaders with health, safety and wellbeing advice and guidance.
- Identify hazards and risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and group companies, promoting best practice and shared learning.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, health and safety representatives and trade unions.
- Keep current with changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Level 5 or Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing, production or related industrial environment.
- Experience in accident and incident investigation.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
