We are recruiting into our Health and Safety team in Driffield, East Yorkshire. We are looking for someone highly organised, detail-driven with an interest in creating safe, compliant workplaces.

The Role

As Health & Safety Administrator, you’ll provide vital administrative and coordination support to the HSE team. You’ll help keep systems organised, ensure smooth communication, and contribute to the ongoing development of HSE policies and practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing the HSE inbox, escalating urgent or sensitive queries where needed
  • Acting as a key point of contact for the HSE team—redirecting and prioritising communications
  • Maintaining and updating HSE systems, records, documentation, and templates (including Powerplus and ACC)
  • Collating data and supporting reporting on key HSE metrics (e.g. KPI’s, AFR, LTI)
  • Coordinating HSE inductions for new starters across site and production
  • Supporting meetings through note-taking and producing accurate minutes
  • Assisting with the coordination of HSE projects, including occupational health programmes
  • Working with Learning & Development to ensure health & safety training compliance
  • Maintaining training logs, certifications, and renewal tracking
  • Supporting compliance with HSE legislation, GDPR, and employment law requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Proven administrative experience within an office environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information professionally
  • Proactive mindset with a “can-do” attitude
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and database systems
  • Nebosh/Knowledge of HSE regulations (advantageous but not essential)
