We are recruiting for a new position in our office in Driffield – we are seeking a Technical Writer who is friendly, motivated, and eager to develop with us.
Reporting to our Senior Quality Lead, the role will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, and other technical documents for production and site work.
The role is essential in ensuring that technical documents are accurate, clear, and concise, while also being easily understandable for the intended audience. To ensure compliance of new products with specifications and regulations through extensive research.
Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and maintain technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, and other technical documents in line with product specifications
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to obtain necessary information for technical documents
- Follow the document creation process, from research to final publication
- Ensure that technical documents adhere to company standards and guidelines
- Ensure that technical documents are accurate, clear, and concise
- Develop technical documents that are easily understandable for a variety of audience
- Provide guidance and support to other team members on technical writing best practices
- Maintaining up-to-date technical documentation that is accessible to relevant stakeholders
- Managing document control and record maintenance with precision
- Supporting other team members with guidance on technical writing best practices
- Ensuring compliance with company standards, quality regulations and legislation
- Complying with Reds10 ISO requirements, including attending training and following company policies and procedure.
Skills required
- Proven experience in creating user manuals, installation guides, or technical documentation would be advantageous
- Ability to write clearly and concisely for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain strong working relationships across teams
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and proactive approach to challenge
- High attention to detail and numerical literacy
