We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fitter to join our installation and joinery team in Driffield. Apteriors’ strength lies in doing everything under one roof – design, cost consultancy, manufacturing, delivery and installation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of kitchen and bathrooms, carpentry adjustments and finishing to a high standard. You will be working on diverse projects including within education, commercial and residential. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of tasks within the construction industry, utilising a broad range of technical skills and tools. The role will also require travel to sites across the UK and may involve overnight stays.
Duties
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to complete tasks efficiently and safely
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of work
- Assist with construction activities such as masonry, carpentry, plastering, and construction painting as required
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with other tradespeople including roofers, plumbers, electricians, and masons to complete projects on time
Skills
- Proven experience in bathroom and kitchen fitting
- General carpentry and joinery experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings
- Knowledge of construction processes including plastering, masonry, carpentry, and painting
- Ability to read technical plans accurately and execute tasks accordingly
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
