Role Overview

The Client Manager is a commercially focused role responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and carrying an individual growth and retention target within the Client Management team. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in our Malmesbury, UK office to foster collaboration and team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management & Revenue Growth
    • Own and manage a portfolio of spending clients, carrying a retention and growth target.
    • Proactively develop and execute account growth strategies, including upsell, cross‑sell, and contract expansion.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders within assigned accounts, building trusted, long‑term relationships.
    • Monitor client health, engagement, and satisfaction to ensure high renewal rates and minimise churn risk.
    • Lead commercial negotiations and renewal processes, ensuring positive outcomes for both client and company.
  • Team Contribution
    • Lead by example in client engagement, revenue delivery, and professional standards.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure accurate use of CRM systems, maintaining visibility of pipeline, forecasts, and client performance.
    • Provide insights on account performance, client trends, and revenue opportunities to leadership.
    • Contribute to the ongoing development of account management processes and best practice frameworks.
    • Participate in industry events and client‑facing forums to represent the company and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with Product, Operations, and Service Delivery teams to ensure client requirements are fully met.
    • Partner with Marketing to identify opportunities for account‑based marketing (ABM) activity within high‑value accounts.
    • Collaborate with New Business Sales colleagues to ensure a smooth transition of newly acquired clients into account management.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience in account/client management, ideally within the Governance, Risk & Compliance sector or wider consulting arena.
  • Demonstrable success in managing and growing high‑value client portfolios.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior decision‑makers and C‑suite executives.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, reviews, and industry events.
