I'm currently supporting a high-growth technology organisation looking to hire a Lead Platform Engineer to help shape the future of engineering productivity across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has progressed from a Software Engineering background into Platform Engineering, DevOps or Engineering Enablement and enjoys solving problems at scale.

The role will focus on:

  • Platform Engineering & Internal Tooling
  • CI/CD Optimisation & Developer Productivity
  • AI-Assisted Software Development
  • Engineering Standards & Best Practice
  • Cross-Team Technical Leadership

You'll work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to improve development workflows, drive adoption of modern tooling and help shape the next generation of engineering capabilities.

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who:

  • Have a Software Engineering background (Go beneficial but not essential)
  • Have experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps or Developer Enablement
  • Are passionate about AI tooling (Claude, Cursor, Codex, Copilot etc.)
  • Have strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
