Overview
A leading organisation in the Bristol area, open to candidates working remotely, is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong experience of AWS, Terraform and Python.
Responsibilities
- Planning, implementation, and growth of AWS cloud infrastructure
- Managing and growing innovative, production-quality tools to solve real operational problems for our environment
- Investigating technical issues and assisting in fixing them so they don't come back
- Recommending process and architecture improvements
- Implementing continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary
- Managing and owning services and capabilities that are used to deliver client outcomes
- Acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience and leading the work of small project teams
Technical skills
- Substantial AWS knowledge
- Experience with Terraform automation language
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Experienced in Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience automating software deployments and following a continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD) model
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps environments
- Practical knowledge of system architectures and networking
