Overview

A leading organisation in the Bristol area, open to candidates working remotely, is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong experience of AWS, Terraform and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementation, and growth of AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Managing and growing innovative, production-quality tools to solve real operational problems for our environment
  • Investigating technical issues and assisting in fixing them so they don't come back
  • Recommending process and architecture improvements
  • Implementing continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary
  • Managing and owning services and capabilities that are used to deliver client outcomes
  • Acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience and leading the work of small project teams

Technical skills

  • Substantial AWS knowledge
  • Experience with Terraform automation language
  • Strong knowledge of Python
  • Experienced in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience automating software deployments and following a continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD) model
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps environments
  • Practical knowledge of system architectures and networking
