This position will be responsible for delivering technology capability to the business, ensuring that employees have access to systems that they need to perform their duties.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders at all levels to design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytical data needs.
Metadata Management: Produce and manage metadata (such as relationships and calculation logic) and ensure thorough documentation using data modelling tools.
Project Management: Lead data analysis projects by gathering business requirements from users, converting them into functional specifications, and coordinating with third-party contractors to define scope, benefits, and delivery across various systems.
System Integration: Support data and analytics initiatives by integrating SAP Datasphere with SAP BW and BW Bridge developments.
Data Architecture: Apply best practice architecture and design principles to develop robust analytical data models.
Documentation and Support: Review and update operational documentation when needed and provide production support during critical periods like month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
Master Data Consistency: Ensure master data remains consistent across related systems and work on improving existing interfaces to resolve data issues in SAP ECC, BW, BPC, and downstream systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- Certification or equivalent experience with SAP Analytics tools (e.g., SAP Application Associate for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC)).
- Recent experience in a similar data-related role.
- Significant experience diagnosing and resolving data integration issues.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP BW, ECC, S/4, SAC, and their data structures.
- Expertise in S/4HANA Analytics, including CDS Views Development, SAP HANA Cloud or HANA 2.0, and SAP BW/4HANA.
- Proficiency in designing and developing analytical models using Graphical/SQL Views.
- Strong ability to design and implement complex data flows.
- Experience working on mixed modelling with both BW and native HANA modelling.
- Familiarity with integrating SAP and non-SAP data sources
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
