Qualifications:

  • Proven experience of working in an IT Engineer role with circa 5 years relevant infrastructure experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server and Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, segmentation, and secure remote access.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), including multi-factor authentication (MFA), RBAC, and conditional access policies.
  • Experience aligning infrastructure builds with cyber security standards such as NCSC guidance, CIS benchmarks, or Microsoft Security Baselines.
  • Awareness of common regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus).
  • Ability to work with cyber security engineers to interpret and apply organisational security policies and controls in infrastructure delivery.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting toolsets.
  • Understanding of data classification, encryption standards (e.g. at rest and in transit), and secure storage/access principles.
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate.
