I’m currently working with a well-established organisation that’s going through a significant digital evolution and is looking to appoint a Head of Infrastructure to help shape and lead the next phase of their technology landscape.

This is a strategic leadership role where you\’ll oversee the core technology infrastructure (covering a mix of cloud, network, and on-prem environments) ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and built for long-term growth. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in environments with large-scale tech operations and wants to have real impact on future-facing transformation.

The Opportunity:

You’ll be stepping into a hands-on leadership role where your focus will be on shaping infrastructure strategy, managing third-party partners, and aligning tech delivery with wider organisational goals.

Key Focus Areas:

• Providing strategic direction and oversight of the organisation’s infrastructure platforms
• Working with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations
• Leading supplier engagement, service performance, and contract governance
• Overseeing resilience planning, tech upgrades, and platform improvements
• Ensuring infrastructure aligns with compliance, risk, and security expectations
• Budget ownership and identification of opportunities to reduce cost or improve value

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience leading infrastructure or technology operations across cloud and traditional environments
• Strong vendor management skills, ideally with experience overseeing complex supplier ecosystems
• A commercial mindset when it comes to cost control, forecasting, and driving value from technology
• Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams to get things done
• Familiarity with standards such as ISO or similar frameworks is helpful, but not essential
• Bonus if you’ve worked in multi-site or global contexts, but flexibility and problem-solving are key
