A leading organisation requires a SOC / Cyber Security Analyst to join its growing Cyber Security function. Duties will include:

  • Leading cyber incident response - from detection through to recovery
  • Acting as an escalation point for analysts and supporting service delivery
  • Reviewing and validating vulnerabilities, ensuring risks are properly understood and managed
  • Producing clear, insightful reporting for customers and senior stakeholders
  • Working with our SOC provider to ensure alerts and threats are effectively handled
  • Developing and improving cyber response plans and runbooks
  • Supporting governance activities
  • Providing expert input into projects, tooling, and security architecture
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members

Suitable candidates will have the following:

  • Experience in cyber security within a complex or multi-tenant environment
  • Strong incident response and security operations experience
  • Confidence working with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Qualys or Tenable
  • A solid understanding of vulnerability management and risk frameworks
  • The ability to translate technical risks into clear, business-focused language
  • Experience supporting or mentoring others within a team
  • A calm, analytical approach; especially under pressure
