A market-leading organisation is looking for a Senior Azure Engineer to join their high-performing infrastructure team. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll design, build, and enhance secure, scalable Azure-based hosting and backup services across hybrid and multi-tenant environments. You’ll play a key part in shaping the organisation’s cloud roadmap – driving modernisation, improving resilience, and delivering high-quality hosting solutions that support real business impact. If you’re someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, leading delivery, and owning end-to-end Azure projects, this role will suit you perfectly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining public/private cloud hosting and backup solutions.
  • Producing high- and low-level designs alongside clear technical documentation.
  • Ensuring all platforms remain secure, highly available, flexible, and efficient.
  • Leading the technical delivery of cloud, hosting, and backup service projects.
  • Assessing and integrating new technologies into a hybrid environment.
  • Working closely with service owners, PMs, and engineering teams to align delivery.
  • Providing technical governance and ensuring compliance with architecture standards.
  • Supporting capacity management, forecasting, and availability planning.
  • Driving continual service improvement and contributing to long-term cloud strategy.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practice across the team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience delivering enterprise-level cloud or hybrid infrastructure solutions.
  • Knowledge of virtualisation, hyper-converged infrastructure, and backup tech.
  • Ability to produce detailed design documentation and technical standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure-by-design approaches.
  • Comfortable engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a managed services or multi-tenant environment.
  • Knowledge of VMware, Nutanix, Rubrik, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks or processes.
