Overview
A leading financial services company in the Bristol region requires a Data Governance / Data Reporting Manager to join its growing team. The focus of the role will be on quarterly reporting, data governance, data controls and business partnering.
Responsibilities
- Develop quarterly reporting data management to increasing levels of automation, using the Opus Nebula platform.
- Implement and oversee data governance, building the structure and processes that ensure the accuracy, availability and consistency of data.
- Assist in the development of a data management, support and governance framework, defining and agreeing SLAs, overseeing the resolution of issues and managing escalations.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships across the business and with third party data and platform providers
- Act as a business partner for key projects, ensuring data architecture requirements are embedded into the design of any solutions.
- Support the internal control environment by monitoring controls relating to data governance and identifying risks and opportunities
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in a Data Management role within financial services, preferably in Asset Management
- Experience of using and/or implementing client reporting platforms, particularly the supply of data feeds for investments and the tools/vendors that utilise and produce this (such as Opus Nebula)
- Familiarity with data modelling, data management and data governance principles and practices
- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end data reconciliations
- Familiarity with Master Data Management, developing and overseeing processes to support data quality
- Ideally a background knowledge of database languages such as SQL
- Proficient in MS Office packages, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
