We are partnering with a leading international professional services organisation seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Analyst to join their growing Platforms function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Azure engineer to play a key role in designing, automating, and supporting enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure within a highly collaborative and technically advanced environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, cloud automation, and platform optimisation.
You will work closely with architecture, security, networking and application teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient Azure solutions, while also acting as a senior technical escalation point and mentor within the wider infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build and maintain Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Bicep)
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support secure and consistent cloud deployments
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex Azure incidents and problem management
- Drive platform reliability, resilience, performance and cost optimisation initiatives
- Monitor and improve cloud platform health using Azure monitoring and observability tools
- Implement security controls and compliance standards across Azure environments
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to deliver cloud-focused projects
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and runbooks
- Support governance standards including tagging, logging, secrets management and controlled deployments
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud engineering and various services within Azure
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Bicep
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies including Active Directory and EntraID connectivity
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control
- Strong understanding of Azure networking concepts including VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute and hub‑and‑spoke architectures
- Exposure to VMware vSphere and enterprise server/storage platforms
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and/or Bash
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and cloud platform issues
- Experience operating within enterprise IT environments and supporting critical services
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Azure SQL
- Knowledge of Azure security best practices including Key Vault, Managed Identities and Conditional Access
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies
- Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, DevOps Engineer or related cloud accreditations, AZ-104
- Experience within professional services or highly regulated environments
