About the role:
We’re working with a highly respected organisation delivering innovative research and technology services into some of the UK’s most specialised and regulated sectors. They’re now looking to hire an IT Business Analyst to join their Defence team, supporting a portfolio of cyber security and secure IT transformation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst from an IT or infrastructure background who is experienced in working within regulated environments and understands the importance of secure-by-design delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements for IT and infrastructure services
- Producing clear analysis artefacts (BRDs, process maps, specs, risk logs)
- Working closely with infrastructure, technical, and security stakeholders
- Supporting service design, transition, and go-live activities
- Ensuring security considerations are built into IT services from day one
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst
- Background in IT or infrastructure-led projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
- Awareness of cyber security fundamentals (not deep specialism)
- Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments
