I’m working with a global tech organisation delivering platforms into the financial services space, currently going through a major cloud transformation. This role sits in a hands-on infrastructure team, blending traditional 3rd line server support with modern, cloud-first engineering as they continue their AWS migration.

For the first 6-9 months, you will work as an Infrastructure Engineer; supporting and improving a mix of on-prem and cloud environments, working closely with engineering teams to keep systems stable, scalable, and moving forward. As the company progresses through their cloud transformation, your position will too transition into an SRE/DevOps Engineer role; utilising the likes of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Containerisation etc.

Key responsibilities
  • 3rd line support across server and infrastructure environments
  • Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers (on-prem & cloud)
  • Monitor performance, availability, and capacity
  • Support ongoing AWS migration and infrastructure improvements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
  • Contribute to automation and CI/CD improvements
Skills & experience
  • Background in 3rd line / infrastructure support
  • Experience with AWS
  • Strong Windows Server (Linux beneficial)
  • Active Directory, DHCP, DNS
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Scripting
