Redrock Recruitment are seeking 3 dedicated and proactive Health & Safety (H&S) Advisors to join a project on a new build manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment by implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing expert advice on safety procedures. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to organisational safety culture whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. The H&S Advisor will play a vital part in fostering a safety-conscious workplace, supporting staff training programmes, and investigating incidents to prevent future occurrences. This is a great opportunity to work on a large construction project with a blue chip client. A history of working on construction projects is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies in accordance with legal requirements and organisational standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments across all departments and operational areas.
- Provide expert guidance on safety procedures, including emergency response plans and accident prevention strategies.
- Lead investigations into incidents or near-misses, performing root cause analysis to identify underlying issues.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance status for management review.
- Deliver training sessions on health and safety topics, including first aid procedures and safe working practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety inspections, audits, incident reports, and training records.
- Act as a point of contact for staff regarding health and safety concerns or queries.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a health and safety advisory role within an industrial or organisational setting.
- Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction.
- First aid certification is essential to provide immediate support during emergencies.
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise documentation for various audiences.
- Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis techniques to investigate incidents thoroughly.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to engage with staff at all levels and deliver training confidently.
