Redrock Recruitment are looking to recruit for their client an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established business operating in the Logistics and Distribution Sector. The project value ranges from £7 million to £30 million. The successful project manager will have a clear history of delivering steel frame shed builds from inception stage to completed client handover. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding business with a healthy project pipeline and a great company culture.
Role Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for carrying out projects in the Logistics and Distribution new build sector and will have a minimum of 5 years’ active project management experience in the above sectors. They should be able to produce written reports and provide updates to key stakeholders, including the client and senior management team. Proven experience in budget management and material control is essential, as well as the ability to delegate responsibility to the management team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Site surveys and technical meetings to create a specification for the client.
- Preparation of contract programme and cost schedules.
- Leading project design and programming.
- Negotiating with and allocating work to subcontractors.
- Ensuring delivery of project on-time, on-budget and to client’s satisfaction.
- Call off and ordering of materials from technical drawings.
- Ability to use initiative and problem solve.
- Reporting regularly on progress to the senior managers and client.
- Demonstrating knowledge of all areas of construction.
- Working as part of the team.
Desired/Essential Skills:
- SMSTS Qualified.
- First Aid trained.
- CSCS card - Black.
- Understanding of H&S.
- RAMs approvals and carry out.
- Local to the Midlands area.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexible, can-do attitude.
- MS Office skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and delegate efficiently.
- Full driving licence.
