Contract Opportunity | Hybrid Working Location: Oxford – Travel Required

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a major engagement programme. This role will focus on planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement, ensuring engagement activities are effectively organised and delivered across a complex stakeholder landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a comprehensive project plan covering all engagement activity.
  • Coordinate timelines, milestones, dependencies, governance checkpoints, and delivery reporting.
  • Oversee day-to-day coordination of activity delivered by the Business Change Manager and Business Analyst.
  • Monitor programme progress, identify risks or delivery challenges, and escalate where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain practical delivery tools including trackers, templates, reporting packs, and governance documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Change Manager to coordinate engagement activity.
  • Liaise with college representatives, programme stakeholders, and administrative teams to schedule workshops, meetings, and consultation sessions.
  • Ensure appropriate attendees are identified and engaged for all relevant activities.
  • Maintain accurate engagement schedules and provide visibility of attendance, readiness, risks, and dependencies.
  • Build strong working relationships across both collegiate and central University functions.
Engagement Materials & Communications
  • Coordinate the creation and distribution of engagement packs and supporting programme materials.
  • Ensure all communications and documentation are aligned, consistent, and audience appropriate.
  • Support the preparation of agendas, presentations, FAQs, briefing papers, and workshop materials.
  • Assist with stakeholder communications and dissemination of programme updates.
  • Maintain effective version control and accessibility of programme documentation.
Governance & Reporting
  • Provide regular delivery updates to programme leadership and governance groups.
  • Track actions, risks, decisions, stakeholder feedback, and programme dependencies.
  • Support governance meetings and preparation of reporting packs and status updates.
  • Ensure all activity aligns with agreed programme standards, timelines, and delivery expectations.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience delivering complex project or engagement activity within large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups within complex organisational structures.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain delivery momentum in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organisational skills.
  • Strong reporting, governance, and programme coordination capability.
