The Content Manager owns and continuously improves the quality, consistency, and persuasiveness of sales and marketing related content across the pipeline. This includes proactively maintaining and renewing our bid content library, covering case studies, method statements, templates, proof points, graphics, and narrative assets, to ensure every submission is compelling, current, and evaluator friendly.
Core Responsibilities
- Work closely with SMEs to maintain, improve, and govern the bid content library—archiving outdated material and adding new assets aligned with business growth and service evolution.
- Establish, document, and enforce a RedRock house style (tone of voice, plain English, inclusive language, and UK Government style where appropriate).
- Maintain a robust content governance model including version control, approval workflows, ownership mapping, and evidence sign‑off—particularly where material is commercially or legally sensitive.
- Build, curate, and continuously update a proof‑points repository containing metrics, client quotes, benefits realisation evidence, delivery benchmarks, and referenceable outcomes.
- Contribute to bid review cycles and collaborative sessions to strengthen narrative quality, consistency, and strategic alignment.
- Translate technical or specialist input into clear, benefit‑led, persuasive content tailored to evaluator expectations; provide both developmental editing and line‑by‑line refinement.
- Coach contributors in bid writing best practice to reduce rework, minimise duplication, and raise the overall standard of submissions.
- Ensure content is structured, accurate, compliant, and easy to reuse—reducing cycle times and improving win‑rate efficiency.
- Support the marketing manager with content writing and ideation for web, email, social media and other marketing material.
- Contribute to campaign planning for events in terms of content and logistics.
- Work closely with the marketing manager to manage the updating and organisation of content for the RedRock website.
- Produce high quality external-facing documents in collaboration with the marketing manager and wider team.
Skills
Essential:
- Ability to lead on the creation of written B2B content, including case studies, web copy and bid content.
- Experience working within visual and brand guidelines for presentations, brochures and organising content to fit different formats.
- Ability to translate technical content into clear user-centric content.
- An understanding of the sales and marketing journey and processes.
- Content strategy experience, including SEO and analytics.
- Detail oriented, with strong editorial judgement.
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback, working as part of a team, collaborating with SMEs to produce clear, persuasive, evaluator‑friendly content.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Highly organised and proactive.
- Willingness to travel and attend events when required.
- A genuine desire to learn, improve and progress quickly.
Desirable:
- Experience in content operations including tagging.
- Storytelling writing experience for videos.

RedRock’s office is in Clifton, Bristol and we have a Working Arrangements Policy in place to help us bring our team together as much as possible. As such, we operate Monday & Thursday “all hands” days where the whole team come into the office. For local employees (within 10 miles), we require 4 days in the office, 1 from home (not withstanding on site client commitments). We will review all applications, but we would prefer applicants to be located in Bristol or surrounding areas.
