About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale legacy application decommissioning and rationalisation programme within a complex enterprise environment. This role will focus on application retirement, integration simplification, infrastructure dependency analysis, and cost take-out initiatives across a broad technology estate. Working closely with infrastructure, security, risk, application, and business teams, you will play a key role in documenting requirements, mapping technical and operational dependencies, supporting regulatory compliance activities, and driving structured decommissioning delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities across legacy application decommissioning and rationalisation initiatives
  • Support application retirement programmes focused on integration simplification and operational cost reduction
  • Conduct detailed application inventory and dependency mapping across enterprise technology estates
  • Document and analyse infrastructure, application, interface, and data dependencies
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and coordinate activity across infrastructure, security, risk, and application teams
  • Produce high-quality business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation
  • Support process mapping, operational impact assessments, and transition planning activities
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to identify risks, blockers, and remediation activities

Must have recent, strong experience supporting:

  • Legacy application decommissioning, rationalisation, or transformation programmes
  • Proven Business Analyst experience within large-scale enterprise technology environments
  • Experience with application landscape mapping and infrastructure dependency analysis
  • Strong understanding of CMDB structures and enterprise system relationships
  • Knowledge of data lineage, data retention, and regulatory compliance considerations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Experience working across infrastructure, security, risk, and application delivery teams
  • Strong documentation skills including business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence for Agile delivery and documentation management
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and structured analysis practices
