We are seeking an experienced End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to support a large-scale laptop rollout programme for a leading organisation based in London. This role will play a key part in the organisation’s ongoing 3‑year laptop refresh initiative, with this year’s deployment significantly larger than previous years, involving the rollout of approximately 200 new laptops. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and wider IT teams to deliver device deployments, application rollouts, image customisation, testing, and end‑user readiness activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a large‑scale laptop rollout project involving approximately 200 devices
- Deploy and configure new laptops using agreed desktop images
- Roll out and package new applications across devices
- Perform image customisation, configuration, and optimisation activities
- Conduct testing and validation of laptop builds, applications, and configurations
- Troubleshoot deployment, hardware, software, and user issues during rollout phases
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure rollout milestones and timelines are achieved
- Ensure devices meet security, compliance, and organisational standards
- Document processes, configurations, and technical procedures where required
- Travel to additional sites when needed to support deployment activities
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an EUC Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, or similar role
- Strong hands‑on experience with laptop/Desktop rollout projects and device refresh programmes
- Experience deploying and supporting Windows desktop environments
- Knowledge of desktop imaging and deployment technologies
- Experience with application deployment and software packaging
- Strong troubleshooting and testing skills across hardware and software environments
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced project environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working closely with Project Managers and infrastructure teams
- Full on‑site availability in London with flexibility to travel as required
- Experience supporting enterprise‑scale rollout projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Autopilot, or similar endpoint management tools
- Familiarity with ITIL‑based support environments
- Previous experience working within regulated or corporate environments
