Microsoft Purview Product SME: Location: London or Newcastle or Leeds - Hybrid Contract: Inside IR35 Day Rate: £440 per day Inside IR35 Start Date: 01/07/2026 About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Purview Product SME to lead the review, prioritisation, and implementation of critical information protection capabilities across a complex M365 environment within the public sector. You will work closely with the Lead Product Owner to shape and agree the execution strategy for each capability, while identifying and engaging key stakeholders to create and align processes across cross-boundary functions. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical knowledge of Purview, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to drive adoption of new capabilities at scale. Key Responsibilities Review, prioritise, and provide recommendations on the implementation of Purview Information Protection capabilities Lead on Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) implementation Review strategy and agree execution plans for each capability with the Lead Product Owner Identify and work with key stakeholders across organisational boundaries Create and agree processes between cross-boundary functions Drive adoption of information protection capabilities across the organisation Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders Support delivery against the wider product strategy through hands-on subject matter expertise Contribute to a positive team culture and support others within the product discipline Additional Requirements ✔ Strong knowledge of Purview capabilities ✔ Experience implementing information protection capabilities within M365 ✔ Experience delivering against product strategy ✔ Experience driving adoption of new tools or capabilities
