Our client designs and manufactures a range of electrical equipment for an industrial market. With new products being released, we are currently seeking an additional Wireperson to join their growing production team.

Responsibilities and Duties within the role:

  • To collect and check kits of parts against specifications sheets, drawings, and other issued documents.
  • To advise of any inconsistencies in documentation.
  • To assemble and wire sub-assemblies to relevant standards and layouts.
  • To rectify faults as instructed.
  • To maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area at all times.

Qualifications / Knowledge:

  • The ability to recognise Health and Safety hazards, risks and controls to maintain safe working practices and environment.
  • Experience/aptitude to use work tools.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to understand how to best assemble components.
  • Ability to identify and understand the purpose of components.
  • How to correctly wire a system.
  • How to check the continuity and integrity of a system.
  • Understand the importance of engineering standards.
  • Any previous experience/interest in electrical/mechanical/electronic production environment.
