Wireperson

– To collect and check kits of parts against specifications sheets, drawings, and other issued documents.

– To advise of any inconsistencies in documentation.

– To assemble and wire sub-assemblies to relevant standards and layouts.

– To rectify faults as instructed.

– To maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area at all times.

Qualifications / Knowledge

– The ability to recognise Health and Safety hazards, risks and controls to maintain safe working practices and environment.

– Experience/aptitude to use work tools.

– Ability to interpret mechanical and wiring diagrams.

– Ability to understand how to best assemble components

– Ability to identify and understand the purpose of components.

– How to correctly wire a system.

– How to check the continuity and integrity of a system.

– Understand the importance of engineering standards.

– Any previous experience/interest in electrical/mechanical/electronic production environment

Skills

– Work safely.

– Build safe and correctly functioning systems.

– Maintain a safe and tidy environment.

– Identify and report inconsistencies.
