We are currently seeking a Service Manager to manage a growing team of 6 Field Service Engineers and 2 Service Administrators. Our client designs and manufactures electrical products supplying into the UK power network and other high profile customers.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the efficient & effective operation of the Service Department
  • Providing technical support to after-sales customers and service engineers
  • Coordinating technical training to staff and customers as necessary
  • Providing technical assistance to sales enquiries/contracts
  • P&L responsibility for the service department
  • Seeking out ways to grow revenue and profit of the service department
  • Ensuring best use is made of in house labour for any site work
  • Ensuring H&S is adhered to at all times providing regular updates to Field Service Engineers

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications/experience:

  • Qualified to HND/HNC Electrical/Electronics Engineering or similar
  • 18th edition wiring regs desirable
  • Experience of UPS, Batteries and Battery Chargers desirable
  • Previous experience as Service Engineer / Supervisor / Manager desirable
