We are currently seeking a Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering design team. Our client designs and manufactures specialist electrical/electronic products supplying a nationwide industrial market.

Skills and experience sought will include:

  • Degree in Power Electronics, Embedded Electronics, Embedded Systems or equivalent
  • Experienced in Power Electronics and Hardware Systems Design, working with high-power systems 1kV and > 20kW
  • Analogue design
  • Active Front End and Dual Active Bridge with System Control at 100kHz
  • Knowledge of transformers and magnetics design for power converters
  • Schematic and PCB layout (our client uses OrCAD); other alternatives e.g. Altium would be relevant
  • Use of electrical test equipment such as PSU's, Load Banks, DMM/DVM, oscilloscope/analysers, signal/function generators.
