Our client supplies, installs and services a range of industrial Battery Chargers, and related products, for industrial Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a nationwide team responsible for servicing Battery Chargers and their related Battery Packs at commercial/industrial locations.

  • To organise & complete service visits according to manufacturers recommendations.
  • To advise Head Office of any sales opportunities identified during the course of duties.
  • To adhere to quality standards at all times.
  • Survey new and existing sites for installation purposes.
  • Feedback quality issues to the office.
  • Provide Technical Support to colleagues and customers as required.

Any of the following experience and qualifications would be beneficial although training will be given:

  • Electrical/Electronic fault finding.
  • Electromechanical Installation e.g. BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regs.
  • Understanding of SLA, NiCD and Plante batteries.
  • Experience working with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), UKPN, National Grid or London Underground would be beneficial.
  • Experience with Battery chargers, UPS, Backup power systems/supply, emergency lighting beneficial.
  • Substations access experience eg. UKPN, National Grid, Western Power, Southern and Scottish power, Electrical Authorised person and CSCS all beneficial.
  • UK Driving License and eligibility to work in UK are essential.

Benefits: Our client is employee owned and offer an attractive salary and benefits package to include profit share and overtime. Following induction training this role will be working on a rota basis, from home. All PPE, training, own van, expenses, healthcare plan, overtime, uniform and certifications included.
