Our client is a long standing, independent employer offering an excellent working environment and benefits. The company is involved in the design and manufacture of specialist Electrical/Electronic products for an industrial market. Due to business growth, we are currently seeking a Wireperson to join the highly skilled electrical manufacturing team.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- To collect and check kits of parts against specifications sheet, drawings, and other issued documents.
- To advise of any inconsistencies in documentation.
- To assemble sub-assemblies and assemblies to relevant standards and layouts.
- To wire sub-assemblies and assemblies to relevant standards and layouts.
- To rectify faults as instructed.
- To maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area at all times utilising the methods of 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain).
- Read, learn, understand, and interpret drawings and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards.
- To promote the efficient operation of Production through lean principles.
Experience required:
- Interpret electrical, mechanical and wiring diagrams.
- How to best assemble components on a gear tray.
- How to correctly wire and lace a system.
- Identify and understand the purpose of components.
- How to check the continuity, polarity and integrity of a system.
- The correct operation and use of work tools.
- Understand the importance of engineering standards.
- Understand the Health and Safety hazards, risks, and controls to maintain safe working practices and environment.
- Provide problem solving solutions.
- Promote continuous improvements.
Previous experience in a similar Wireperson role within an Electrical/Electronic Production environment would be beneficial.
