About the role

Assessors provide end to end structured support to the clients apprenticeship learners on programme. They ensure the most effective and up-to-date approaches are implemented to prepare learners to successfully progress in their Health and Social Care qualification.

The apprenticeship program provides learners with hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in Health and Social Care, equipping them with essential skills for a successful career in the industry.

Your impact

  • Ensure the highest training standards by adapting to learner needs.
  • Cover a regional area and travel to learners\’ workplaces for assessments.
  • Complete Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and outline personalised learning pathways.
  • Reference and evaluate evidence collected in the workplace to meet key skill requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and guided contact hours, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and achievement of set performance targets.
  • Arrange additional training through day release and provide in-house training support as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of clients\’ achievements to meet the performance criteria established by relevant awarding bodies.

?Essential requirements

  • Relevant training experience and a recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., A1 Assessor Award, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in an apprenticeship setting.
  • Proven occupational experience and technical competence in Health and Social Care delivery.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
  • Welsh speaking is desirable.
