Production Manager Salary Range: £45,000 circa Location: Ellesmere Port Contract type: Full time, permanent Company Description Lead the manufacturing and repair process of timber products to ensure efficient and effective production. Lead and manage the production leadership teams to drive accountability and ownership of every stage of production to deliver conforming product manufactured right first time within budget. Ensure the team are multi-skilled, leaders are developed, the team is ready to react to new opportunities. Drive data led continuous improvement to demonstrate ongoing process improvement and output. Responsibilities Qualifications and Experience · Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment · IOSH Managing Safely · Understanding and practical application of OEE and OLE highly desirable · Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain · Competent in analysis, assessment, measurement · Perseverance, personal ambition, and willingness to develop within a dynamic environment · Proven track record of driving productivity improvements through KPI’s Health, Safety and Environment · Ensure all production team adheres to company H&S procedures with regard to PPE, accident/incident reporting etc. · Ensure we maintain a consistent and robust induction process. Training of all new production employees, ensuring that a safe system of work is maintained at all times. · Ensuring that all training records are maintained and updated. Production · To support the Plant Manager in the daily operations of the site. · Supervise the operations of personnel to ensure the manufacturing and delivery process is within budget and on time, in full. · Work alongside central planning functions to implement plans for the effective use of material and personnel resources to achieve manufacturing target · Assign daily workload to supervisors / team leaders · Ensure operations are in compliance with health and safety standards · Investigate production issues by identifying and eliminating root cause issues · Determine equipment, material, and people requirements Quality * To ensure all employees are trained and aware of quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures * Ensure all production employees adhere to company Quality procedures and processes, enforcing the discipline that all quality failures are repaired by the originator. * Implement regular and consistent quality inspections to ensure customer expectations are being achieved, and that the product meets our internal specification / tolerance levels. * Drive a customer focused approach · Ensure all products delivered to the customer on time and are fit for purpose and meet the customer specifications General * Ensure stock accuracy be following internal business administration processes on time.
