Role Description The Fire Safety Officer will be responsible for conducting Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) across a range of normal and medium risk premises, primarily located in South and West Wales. All assessments will be conducted in accordance with current legislation and best practices, using appropriate FRA software applications. Key responsibilities include preparing FRA reports and action plans, advising clients on fire safety compliance and legal obligations, and identifying any necessary training requirements. The role also requires staying informed about fire safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry developments. Additionally, the officer will support clients in developing and implementing fire evacuation plans and emergency procedures. Desirable Qualifications Level 3 or 4 qualification in Fire Safety or Fire Risk Assessing NEBOSH Certificate in Construction with Fire IFSM Registration (Institute of Fire Safety Managers) Tier 1 or Tier 2 NEBOSH Construction (Fire Certificate) Personal Attributes Competence in conducting basic Fire Risk Assessments IT literacy and familiarity with smart products and applications Possession of a valid driving licence and own transport Strong communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities Own transport and hold a full UK driving license Working Hours Monday Thursday 9am 4pm and Friday 9am 1pm Benefits 25 days holiday Bank Holidays 2 weeks shut down over Christmas and New Year Fuel Allowance
