Our client is inviting applications from maintenance and service engineers to work within their service team providing 24/7 service and support to contracted customers. The role involves attending various customer sites undertaking electrical maintenance and ad hoc service as well as working on an on-call rota with the other engineers to cover out of hours call outs.
Our client is looking for candidates with programming and PLC experience as well as experience within a maintenance role. The role comes with a base salary, plus call out allowance, and overtime rates. Working within a well-established team, this role provides challenge as well as support to the incoming engineer. Internal training is plentiful, with support from senior engineers and others in the team. Our client has a core aim to develop and train personnel and there are future opportunities for advancement within this role.
Our client is looking for someone who can think on their feet, problem solve and support colleagues by sharing expertise. The company has a flexible working schedule with hybrid working, a good support structure of like-minded engineers, and a team ethos. If you feel you have the relevant experience in a service, design, or maintenance role, with PLC and drive experience, and software design skills this role could be for you.
Key responsibilities:- Response to service and breakdown calls on an ongoing basis
- Support to the company’s existing customer base
- Maintenance tasks at customers' site
- Casual field service to new and existing customers
- Undertake small project work
- Assistance to the engineering department, both for support and commissioning assistance
- Development and generation of service contracts with new and existing customers
- Facilitation of the company’s service business including reporting and invoicing
- Training and feedback to the engineering team of problems and solutions development during routine service operations
- Assist in the growth and development of the service business
Hours: Monday - Friday (8.30-4.30)
Salary: £35,000 (Plus On Call and Call Outs)
