Location: Cardiff (Hybrid, 3 days per week in Head Office)
Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 4:30pm
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) with a background in Health & Social Care to join their growing quality team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IQA to play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of apprenticeship delivery within Health & Social Care programmes. You will work closely with Assessors, supporting and developing their practice while ensuring learners receive a high-quality learning experience and achieve successful outcomes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring quality standards, conducting sampling activities, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with awarding organisation and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, support, and develop a team of Health & Social Care Assessors.
Conduct sampling and verification activities in line with internal quality assurance procedures.
Monitor assessor performance and provide coaching, guidance, and support.
Complete detailed IQA reports and quality improvement action plans.
Ensure apprenticeship standards and framework requirements are consistently met.
Support improvements in learner achievement, progression, and satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with Awarding Organisation, Estyn, and contractual requirements.
Coordinate and support External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits.
Promote and embed safeguarding, equality and diversity, wellbeing, Welsh language and culture, and sustainability throughout programme delivery.
Work collaboratively with management teams to drive performance and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
IQA Qualification (or equivalent Internal Quality Assurance award).
Assessor Qualification.
Occupational competency within Health & Social Care.
Experience assessing and/or quality assuring Health & Social Care apprenticeship programmes.
Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, assessment methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
Knowledge of Awarding Organisation requirements.
Knowledge of Estyn inspection frameworks and quality standards.
Experience delivering training, coaching, or learner support.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
Desirable Requirements
Experience leading or mentoring a team of Assessors or IQAs.
Experience coordinating EQA visits.
Previous involvement in Estyn inspections. xiskglj
Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care Leadership and Management or equivalent.
