Our client is looking for a highly skilled electrician who takes pride in their trade and has experience in reactive domestic maintenance. The successful candidate will be providing reactive maintenance to homes in Bristol, Swindon, and Gloucester. You must be a self-starter, adaptable & able to work with initiative & to a high standard, with good communication skills. Our clients' customers are key to the success of their business, and you will be the face of the company.

Hours & Salary

  • Full Time - Monday to Friday
  • Salary - £45,000
  • Company Vehicle, PPE, Equipment & Uniform Provided
  • 28 days paid annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, rising to 33 days with length of service

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Fully Qualified NVQ level 3 time served Electrician
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations / BS7671:2018
  • Inspection and Testing City & Guilds 2394/5 or 2391 OR EAL 4337/4338
  • Strong background in domestic electrical fault finding, repair and installation, testing and inspection
  • A background working for a company providing private domestic reactive maintenance is desirable
  • Experience in pricing up work, and ability to spot leads and upsell where appropriate
  • Full Driving Licence, driving licences of staff will be checked electronically before company vehicle issued and annually thereafter

  • Excellent people skills, well-organised and effective, confident communicator
  • Existing NICEIC registration is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

  • You will work to a planned maintenance schedule
  • You will respond in a timely manner to breakdowns
  • Diagnose faults
  • Repair works / Maintenance work
  • Ability to source materials for work independently
  • Abide by doorstep selling regulations and complete relevant customer paperwork accurately
  • Recommend improvements and modifications to customers
  • Provide quotations to customers
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out
  • Recognise issues and assess risks and review any findings with management
  • Identify and meet personal and job-related training and development as required
  • A strong commitment to working in line with our health and safety policy and contributing suggestions to improve it
