After recently celebrating our 150th year in business, we are embarking on the next stage of our firm-wide strategy to build, improve and develop upon our strong, historic foundations. Our Finance team is already playing a critical role in this, and we are looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst to join this dynamic team and add their valuable knowledge and experience to the mix.
Providing essential and valued support to our Finance Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering robust financial insights and analysis for our Directors and Senior Managers. Your key responsibilities would be:
- Production and Reporting of all aspects of our Financial Planning and Forecasting.
- Development of dashboards and reporting packs to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for decision‑makers across the business.
- Conducting strategic and ad-hoc analysis into key strategic areas.
- Analysis of financial results and variances, including the underlying drivers and their implications for the business.
- Acting as a finance partner to senior management, helping them understand performance, cost drivers and financial implications of their decisions.
- Supporting the production of business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and return-on-investment modelling.
- Contributing to initiatives to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes, including automation and system enhancements.
This is not a client-facing role; your main communications will be with your departmental colleagues and other stakeholders from across the firm. We are looking for someone with both the qualifications and the ability to deliver valuable insights, who is keen to get stuck in and join a well-established and welcoming team.
What we’re looking for:
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Passed ACCA or CIMA or actively working towards qualification.
- Experience working within a Finance team and understanding of cost and revenue analysis.
- Previous successful experience providing financial analysis.
Desirable
- Previous Finance experience within investment management or financial services.
Skills & Behaviours
- Sound knowledge of FCA and HMRC regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, using data and insight to support any analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and influencing abilities, with the flexibility to adapt style and build strong rapport across diverse stakeholders.
- Resilient under pressure, able to prioritise effectively and deliver high-quality outputs within critical deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all reporting and analytical work.
- Collaborative team player, fostering a supportive environment and encouraging collective success.
- Adaptable and resourceful, applying sound judgement and initiative to solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
Once you are settled into the role, you will be able to take on more responsibility within the team and develop your skills and experience further through CPD and other development opportunities. Redmayne Bentley provides support for colleagues to pursue further qualifications and certifications, if that is something they wish to do. For someone who is keen to progress in this field, there will be developmental and coaching support provided for you to potentially progress into a more senior role in the future.
