Job Description

Financial Controller\\n\\nLeeds, West Yorkshire\\n\\n£65,000 – £75,000\\n\\nOur Financial Controller plays a vital, senior role in ensuring our Finance department is working effectively, efficiently and to the highest standards of financial integrity.\\n\\nYou would be the leader of our Finance and Reconciliations teams, providing coaching and support to allow the team to be successful in its roles. You will share your knowledge and promote and maintain a supportive culture of rigour and integrity.\\n\\nYour key responsibilities would be:\\n\\n * Overseeing the production of monthly and annual accounts;\\n\\n * Pursuing and implementing improvements in processes and controls;\\n\\n * Enhancing financial analysis and internal reporting;\\n\\n * Ensuring reconciliation requirements across the teams are met, including balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations and external stock reconciliations;\\n\\n * Monitoring and managing the Firm’s cash flow;\\n\\n * Liaising with auditors to ensure successful annual audits;\\n\\nThis is not a client-facing role, your main communications will be with your departmental colleagues and other stakeholders from across the firm.\\n\\nWe are looking for someone who knows how to get the best out of their teams and has an experienced eye for finance.\\n\\nIn return we offer an opportunity to work with two excellent teams of dedicated colleagues, opportunities to make a significant contribution to the operations of the firm, and a supportive Director who will work with you to ensure you have opportunities for development and progression.\\n\\nWhat we’re looking for\\n\\n * Full Accounting Qualification.\\n\\n * Previous successful people management experience.\\n\\n * Proven leadership, delegation, and coaching skills.\\n\\n * Good awareness of HMRC and FCA rules.\\n\\n * Excellent organisational and time management skills.\\n\\n * Ability to maintain and promote the highest standards of rigour and integrity.\\n\\nWhat does the future look like?\\n\\nOnce you are settled into the role, you will be able to take on more responsibility within the team and have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience further through CPD and other development opportunities.\\n\\nRedmayne Bentley provides support for colleagues to achieve industry standard qualifications, if that is something they wish to do.\\n\\nFor someone who is keen to progress in this field, there will be developmental and coaching support provided for you to potentially progress into a more senior role in the future
