It’s an exciting time to join Redmayne Bentley. After recently celebrating our 150th year in business, we are entering the next stage of our firm‑wide strategy — building on our strong heritage while continuing to evolve, improve and invest in the future. Our award‑winning Investment Management team is central to delivering this strategy. To support this, we are looking for a new colleague to join the team as an Investment Administrator.
Investment Administrators are one of the first points of contact for dealing with queries from our clients as well as providing timely and valuable admin support to our Investment Managers and Executives. The most common queries and tasks you would be dealing with are:
- Supporting the onboarding of new clients.
- Producing documentation for Investment Managers to provide to their clients – such as Review Packs and Investment Proposals.
- Providing clients and/or their agents with information and reports about their portfolios.
- Administering requests from solicitors for Confirmation valuations and documentation required for subsequent share sales.
- Processing the movement of funds between accounts.
This is a client-facing role, with client queries coming in via phone, post, and email so you will need to be a confident communicator, who can handle these queries clearly and sensitively. We work in a regulated industry, so you will need a high attention to detail to ensure that our records are kept up to date and avoid any possible regulatory breaches. This role provides essential support to the office, including daily tasks such as handling post and incoming client queries. This role would suit someone who enjoys working within a small office team, where everyone mucks in to give clients the best experience possible.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge- Previous successful administrative experience, ideally within investments, wealth management or financial services.
- At least 6 months’ work experience within UK Financial Services (including student placements/internships).
- Awareness of FCA regulations, including how to support vulnerable clients.
- Adaptable and Resourceful – can apply sound judgement and initiative to solve problems and react to changing circumstances.
- Client Focused – consistently keeping client outcomes at the heart of decision making.
- Collaborative Team Player – enjoys being an active part of a supportive environment and encouraging collective success.
- Confident IT and System User – able to quickly learn and use Microsoft Office and bespoke systems.
- Detail-Oriented - ensures processes are followed correctly and work is completed to a high standard of accuracy.
- Keen to Learn – seeks out and enjoys opportunities to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
- Professional Communication Skills - able to welcome and build rapport with clients and visitors in a positive and professional manner.
- Organised - able to prioritise effectively and meet required deadlines.
- Self-Motivated - Confident working independently and managing their workload effectively.
For an ambitious candidate, there is ample room for you and this role to develop over time with us. Once you are settled into the role, you will find opportunities to take on more responsibility within the team and develop your skills and experience further through CPD, project work and/or other development opportunities. Redmayne Bentley provides full support for colleagues to pursue further professional qualifications and certifications, if that is something they wish to do. We also have a proud track record of offering regular internal promotion and secondment opportunities for our colleagues.
