Due to our ongoing growth as a firm and ambitious 5-year strategy, our wide-ranging HR department is looking to add a new member to the team to help us with our Corporate Governance initiatives. This is a brand-new role, with a remit to help us transform and improve our corporate governance as we continue to grow as a firm. That means you will have a significant part to play in the success and future of this role, alongside making a noticeable impact on the way the firm governs itself.
What is Corporate Governance? Simply put, Corporate Governance is all about the rules, policies and procedures that underpin how our boards and committees operate. In a regulated industry like ours, this also includes fitness and propriety assessments for senior managers and front-office colleagues. This is a rapidly growing specialism across many industries and gives those who work within it many opportunities for being involved in impactful work critical to the long-term success of their employers. The firm would provide full support for the successful candidate to undertake any formal training and potentially qualifications in Corporate Governance. For someone who has a curiosity about taking their career in a new direction, this opportunity could be a perfect fit for you.
What You Would Be Involved In:
- Assisting in the drafting and review of policies, frameworks and procedure documents.
- Upkeep of our franchise and associate agreements for our self-employed colleagues.
- Development of our procedures and processes relating to the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).
- Building our internal knowledge of Corporate Governance best practice.
What we need from you:
QualificationsNo specific qualifications required, but a desire to take training courses and potentially a qualification is required.
ExperienceExperience of being involved in corporate governance directly or in a support role, ideally within financial services or another regulated industry. Previous experience drafting and reviewing policies and procedures.
