Are you an experienced Electronics Design Engineer with strong expertise in mixed-signal electronics, digital design, sensors and PCB development?

Key responsibilities of this Electronics Design Engineer job based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire:

  • Design and develop analogue and digital mixed-signal electronics for advanced robotic platforms
  • Design electronics to interface with robotic odometry systems, including IMUs, GPS and RTK
  • Develop and integrate digital electronics, sensors and associated interfaces
  • Design and validate CAN interfaces connecting robotic electronics to motor controllers
  • Work on electronics system architecture and contribute to ground-up system design
  • Produce schematics and PCB designs, taking designs from concept through to implementation
  • Progress existing prototype designs towards manufacturing and small-scale production

To be successful, you should have experience with:

  • 4-5+ years' commercial experience as an Electronics Engineer or Electronics Design Engineer
  • Strong experience in mixed-signal electronics design, with a particular strength in digital electronics
  • Experience with analogue electronics and sensors
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design
  • Knowledge of interfaces such as CAN
  • Experience designing electronics for sensors and/or systems such as IMU, GPS or RTK would be beneficial
