We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in time management.
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and assembling various types of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Your role will also involve providing excellent customer service, addressing client concerns, and delivering high-quality workmanship whilst meeting deadlines.
Monday-Friday only no weekends
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as servicing, tyres, brakes, clutches, timing belts, Mot repairs, diagnosis ect
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and assembly of vehicle components.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
- To be able to use time management system programs
- Execute repair tasks as required, ensuring all work is completed to the highest of standards at all times in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace
- Assist in heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with the service reception regarding repairs and maintenance needs for the customer.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance to level 2/3 IMI/NVQ/City and guilds/Time served with various references
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during repair tasks.
- A valid full uk driver's licence.
