A well-established and growing electronics manufacturing business in Bedfordshire is seeking a Contract Electronic Assembler based in Shefford Bedfordshire to support increased production demand across a range of specialist electronic products.

As our client is considered exempt for IR35 purposes, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing IR35 status, should you wish to operate via your own PSC.
Key Responsibilities required for the Contract Electronic Assembler based in Shefford, Bedfodshire
- Assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical products to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- PCB assembly, component fitting and cable assembly.
- Soldering to a high standard, including through-hole and surface-mount components.
- Conducting visual inspections and basic testing of assembled products.
- Maintaining accurate production records and documentation.
- Supporting manufacturing teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working within an electronics manufacturing or production environment.
- Competent soldering skills and experience assembling electronic products.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Experience with cable harnesses, wiring and electro-mechanical assembly would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Desirable Experience
- IPC certification or equivalent soldering qualifications.
- Experience of low-volume, high-mix manufacturing.
- Familiarity with inspection and basic electronic test equipment.
