An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer – Defence/Aerospace to join this Reading based Designer & Manufacturer of control panels, displays and fully integrated systems for various industries including Military, Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial.

The role of Project Engineer – Defence/Aerospace will be based in Reading and the ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering background.

The role will work closely with the Mechanical and Electronics engineers in planning, executing and managing a range of simple, medium and complex projects through to completion, within given timescales, managing milestones and budgets. This is a hands on role that would frequently require mechanical design work.

Requirements of a Project Engineer – Defence/Aerospace

A degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or designing electro mechanical systems

  • Working in a team and managing multiple projects at once

  • Preparing, planning and tracking projects

  • Identifying risks and implementing risk management strategies

  • Having an awareness of MTBF calculations and reliability prediction calculations

  • Experience of using AutoCAD inventor software or similar software

  • Prince 2 qualified

  • Baseline security clearance required
