The Redline Group have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer, based on site in Loughborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within the AC Product Development team, leading the design and delivery of wiring harnesses and electrical work packages for cutting-edge fuel cell products.
Main responsibilities are:
- Leading the electrical design and delivery of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies and other electrical work packages for hydrogen fuel cell products
- Producing high-quality electrical schematics, wiring harness designs and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks Electrical
- Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop scalable, production-ready electrical solutions that meet applicable standards and certification requirements
- Supporting the development of system test rigs and ensuring designs consider circuits, harnesses, bonding, earthing, EMC and DfX principles
Key skills required are:
- BEng, BSc or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Industrial experience in electrical design for electro-mechanical products
- Strong experience with SolidWorks Electrical, schematic capture, wiring harness design and manufacturing documentation
