A Support Engineer is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Linton, Cambridgeshire, contributing to the technical and operational support of PCB testing, X-ray inspection and production equipment.
The Support Engineer, Linton, Cambridgeshire, will develop technical expertise across test equipment, software and X-ray systems while supporting customers, sales and the wider engineering team. Responsibilities include:
- Develop detailed knowledge of PCB test and X-ray inspection equipment, including applications and operation
- Prepare test-machine programmes and data and carry out testing of customer products
- Develop and deliver X-ray imaging services and customer demonstrations
- Provide technical support to sales teams, customers and colleagues, including demonstrations, presentations and exhibitions
- Support equipment commissioning and customer training at customer sites
- Maintain equipment, stock, stores, schedules and technical records in line with company procedures
- Build relationships with suppliers and contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement activities
The Support Engineer, Linton, Cambridgeshire, will have the following key skills:
- Good understanding of electronics with a practical interest in technology
- Ability to develop technical knowledge across software, test equipment, X-ray systems and production equipment
- Strong communication skills with confidence supporting customers, colleagues and suppliers
- Organised and accurate with the ability to manage varied priorities and maintain records
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally, including overnight stays and supplier training
